How does the portable actuator connect to the valve?

Most of the portable valve actuators available from Total Lockout connect to the valve using 2-part adaptor set.

The drive stem adaptor connects the output drive shaft of the actuator to the input drive of the valve. It is designed and manufactured to precise tolerances ensuring a good fit. Generally the drive stem adaptor is removed from the valve after each operation and kept with the portable actuator.

The anti-rotation bracket is designed to mount permanently on the valve. It incorporates a hole through with the reaction pin (anti-rotation pin) on the power tool is passed. This interface is the integral safety feature of the kit and designed to protect the user against any torque-load which can otherwise be transmitted back into the power tool.

We have a wide range of adaption kits in stock, but it’s also common practice for us the design the parts to customer specific requirements. Equally, some customers choose to fabricate their own parts.

We’ll offer the optimum and most expedient package to provide speedy integration.
