The New Master Lock S2394 Universal MCB Lockout
Total Lockout stock the latest MCB Lockout from Master Lock
The market for lockout devices for miniature circuit breaker lockouts is well served by a variety of products. These small devices engage on to the MCB either by wire prongs which engage in small holes either side of the breaker switch toggle, or using a cone-point grub screw which drives in to the toggle, gripping it in place.
Features & User Benefits
The latest model from Master Lock adopts the latter fixing method but also incorporates some innovative new features.
Firstly the grub screw is turned using an integral thumb screw meaning no tools are required to fix the device on to the breaker.
Secondly, there are now two alternative holes through which the padlock is passed to lock the device in place. The first hole is on a vertical axis which means that when the padlock is fitted, it doesn’t overlap neighbouring circuit breakers.
The second hole is on a horizontal axis. This enables multiple MCB’s to be locked, either with a long shackle padlock or a cable lockout device.
In general, the new Master Lock S2394 MCB lockout can be described as lightweight, ergonomic and easy to use. It can be used on a wide range of makes and models of miniature circuit breakers.
