TL win Ichthys Offshore Portable Valve Actuators
After a long complex technical and commercial evaluation and negotiation lasting almost 2 years, Total Lockout secured the contract from Samsung Heavy Industries to supply Portable Valve Actuators for the Ichthys LNG Offshore facility.
Sited 220 kilometres offshore Western Australia, Ichthys is the largest discovery of hydrocarbon liquids in Australia in 40 years. The Ichthys LNG Project is ranked among the most significant oil and gas projects in the world. The Ichthys LNG Project is effectively three mega-projects rolled into one, involving some of the largest offshore facilities in the industry, an onshore processing facility and an 890 km pipeline uniting them for an operational life of at least 40 years.
Total Lockout’s scope of supply involved the Modec Pneumatic portable valve driver actuators chosen for their suitability, flexibility and usability in an offshore environment. Further, the ATEX certification of this equipment means it wholly suitable for use in potentially explosive environments.
For maximum portability, Total Lockout supplied storage and deployment trolleys for each tool in Stainless Steel. The trolleys contained air hose reels, filter/regulator/lubro units and quick release connectors enabling the valve actuators to be quickly moved to their location and put to use with minimum fuss. The trolleys incorporated tri-axle wheel arrangement ideal for moving the equipment between decks on the offshore platform.
Total Lockout expertise in the field of portable valve actuators is unsurpassed. We offer the widest range of power tools for all industries and environments including cordless battery power, petrol (gas) motor, 110v electric and Atex certified pneumatic.
We offer expertise in designing and manufacturing effective adaption kits to simplify deployment and also minimizing cost.
